Editorial Department of China City Planning Review Organizes the “Special Session: Creating Cities of Sharing Through Planning”
On Dec. 6, 2020, the editorial department of China City Planning Review (CCPR) organized the “Special Session: Creating Cities of Sharing Through Planning” at the 14th IACP Annual Conference held by Shenzhen University on Dec. 5 – 13, 2020. Professor Liu Jiayan, CCPR Managing Editor, Associate Professor, School of Architecture, Tsinghua University, hosted the session. Four invited speakers, Bernhard Müller, Senior Professor, Technische Universitat Dresden; Yuan Xiaohui, CEO/Cofounder, Quant Urban Tech Co. Ltd.; Shen Yao, Associate Director, School Affairs Assistant, Doctoral Supervisor, Department of Planning, School of Architecture, Hunan University; Hui Xiaoxi, Assistant Professor, College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Beijing University of Technology, delivered keynote speeches on socially integrative cities, city data sharing, children-friendly communities, and the building of community public space respectively, covering practical experience from Shenzhen, Changsha, Beijing, and even overseas cities. In the discussion part, Professor Tang Yan, CCPR Managing Editor, Associate Professor, School of Architecture, Tsinghua University, commented on and summarized the excellent speeches of the four speakers. And an in-depth discussion and academic sharing on the theme of the session was conducted from different perspectives. This session was broadcast online simultaneously on Bilibili, with the number of real-time viewers reaching more than 1700.
