CCPR Successfully Selected by WJCI Report (2020 Science & Technology Edition)
In August 2021, China City Planning Review (CCPR) was successfully selected by the World Journal Clout Index Report (2020 Science & Technology Edition) (WJCI Report for short). The WJCI Report is a journal evaluation report jointly developed by the Institute of Scientific and Technological Information of China, China Academic Journals (CD Edition) Electronic Publishing House Co. Ltd., the Library of Tsinghua University, Wanfang Data Co. Ltd., and the Society of China University Journals. The report is the result of “Research on the Comprehensive Evaluation Method of Science and Technology Journals’ Influence for Internationalization,” a project of the CAST, which aims to establish a new journal evaluation system and explore a more scientific, comprehensive, and reasonable journal influence evaluation method for globalization. The WJCI Report determines the proportion of source journals in each country from four dimensions: R&D input, output of research papers, number of researchers, scale and level of journals, and sets the target of selecting about 15,000 excellent journals with the most regional, disciplinary, and industrial representativeness from more than 63,000 active scientific and technical academic journals in each country as source journals. The selected journals are all considered as excellent journals with regional and disciplinary representativeness. The WJCI report includes 39 representative journals in the field of regional and urban-rural planning, and other similar journals in English include Sustainable Cities and Society, Urban Geography, Planning Theory, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Futures, and Sustainable Development.
China City Planning Review (CCPR), firstly published in 1985, is the only English-language journal of the Urban Planning Society of China (UPSC) with subscriptions all over the world. CCPR currently has been indexed in CNKI, CSCD, EBSCO, and ProQuest.
