GLOSSARY
Public Health (公共卫生 gōng gòng wèi shēng): Public health is a public undertaking of a country or a region that is related to the health issue of the public. It mainly concerns the prevention, monitoring, and treatment of major diseases, especially infectious ones, such as tuberculosis, AIDS, and SARS, the surveillance and control on the sanitation of food, medicine, and public space, and the construction and operation of medical and healthcare facilities, as well as the organization of immunization and the promotion of health education.
