Urban Physical Examination for 36 Cities
On Jun. 16, 2020, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development announced the work plan of the 2020 urban physical examination, which will be carried out on 36 sample cities to find out the problems and shortcomings of urban development, urban planning, and construction management, with the theme of preventing epidemics and making up for shortcomings and expanding domestic demand. According to the 2020 Urban Physical Examination Work Plan, a total of 36 cities, which are Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Harbin, Shenyang, Chengdu, Nanjing, Xi’an, Changchun, Jinan, Hangzhou, Dalian, Xiamen, Shijiazhuang, Taiyuan, Hohhot, Hefei, Fuzhou, Zhengzhou, Changsha, Nanning, Haikou, Kunming, Guiyang, Lanzhou, Yinchuan, Xining, Urumqi, Luoyang, Quzhou, Ganzhou, Jingdezhen, Huangshi, and Suining, will undergo the 2020 urban physical examination, which will cover eight aspects, including ecological livability, health and comfort, safety and resilience, accessibility, style and character, cleanliness and order, diversity and inclusion, and innovation and vitality.
